I believe this Co-Op work experience is my precious opportunity to improve myself, and it is also an opportunity to learn working tips from my supervisor and my boss. I used to be afraid of solving problems, but after the observation from my supervisor I have perceived it is very unnecessary to be shy or afraid of facing a problem, there is no perfect work in the world, solving problems are the chance to test my work ability. I am sure I have a good personality and I am an open-minded person who can accept either good or bad comments, these strengths are the motivation to enhance my ability on solving problems in the future work.

Weakness on problem solving:

Communication (English)

 

Example:

Because English is my second language, when I talk with customers or solve a problem. I might not be confidence sometimes. This point has become the biggest problem in my communication and problem solving skills. I remember when I started my Co-Op experience in Dong Ping Finance, during the first few weeks I felt unconfident and nervous in the communication between me and my customers. It reduces my efficiency of work, and I could not afford the work independently. The key of my tone was not correct, my volume of speak was not at the proper level, customers felt confuse by my service, although I want to bring the best quality of service to my customers, it did not work well due to my weakness of communication. Fortunately, my supervisor realized my problem on time, and she decided to teach me some tips about how to communicate effectively. She told me there is nothing needs to be afraid when I speak, because English is my second language, even I make mistake on it, and my customers would not laugh at me. My supervisor trained me to observe how she talks with customers, she also helped me to practice by some role plays, and I strongly felt I should speak up as much as possible during the communication. According to the special training, my communication skills got improvement significantly, I learnt how to apply greet words in a proper way, it could make my customer feel much more comfortable, narrow the distance between us, make them become to my friends, this could be the most useful tip for me, I am very appreciate that I could learn this tip from my supervisor, and now I can give a service with a better communication than before.
