Email message (25 points)
Description:  For this assignment, construct an email informs potential customers or users of your organization’s new product or service.  Use appropriate words, subject heading, salutation options and closing. Address the email to targeted potential customers or users of the new product or service.

Requirements:  Use a formal format which includes a clear subject line, salutation with formal title, clear and complete sentences, formal sign-off, your name, and contact information.

Rubric:  The email will be graded on:
• Content – provides useful information that is relevant for describing the new product or service and its benefits, and documents need for it. In addition, presents clear and compelling messages for stating how potential customers or users can utilize new product or service and where they can go for more information.
• Audience – identifies appropriate audience and is written for appropriate audience. All messages are targeted to this audience.
• Format – uses appropriate elements in conventional sequence and follows guidelines
• Professionalism – is free of errors


Press release (25 points)
Description:  As an employee of the organization you were assigned, you will write a press release that introduces the new product or service.The press release should appeal to the editor to encourage him/her to publish the story and should appeal to the public who will read the story.  A press release is important for announcing the new product or service and also for presenting a positive face for your organization.

Requirements: The press release must be typed and 1-2 pages (double-spaced) in length.  Include a “boilerplate” paragraph at the end and contact information.
