Abstracts
This study aims to explore the gender discrimination in China's five-star hotels and understand the causes of gender discrimination and its manifestations. It seeks for resolutions for addressing the problem of gender discrimination and proposing recommendations. In this paper, it is through a questionnaire to understand manifestations of gender discrimination in China five-star hotels, through interviews to understand the reasons for the existence of gender discrimination. Survey results show that there is sex discrimination in recruitment, training promotion and payment in Chinese five-star hotels, and the causes of gender discrimination includes physiological differences between men and women which result in an increased recruitment essay定制 costs for hiring female applicants, a lack of a strong security system and strict legal system for safeguarding women's legitimate rights, as well as the impact of traditional Chinese culture. The research results of this study shows that there is gender discrimination existing in five-star hotels in China, the reasons leading to the phenomenon are multiple, which need to be overcome by the efforts of the whole society.
