Abstract:Since the beginning of the 20th century, international disputes related to intellectual property is increasing. in the settlement of international disputes on Intellectual property rights, the inherent regional nature of intellectual property rights obstacle the smooth conduct of judicial settlement, while ADR solution assume an increasingly important role in practice to resolve international IPR disputes. This arbitration is traditional ADR solution with a long history, taking the advantages of it own, it is widely used international IPR disputes were resolved in the practice. The characteristics of intellectual property rights have also led to obstacles in international arbitration to resolve intellectual property disputes. This dissertation aims to discuss and study how the WIPO resolve international intellectual property rights disputes by arbitration. The author firstly introduced the role of the WIPO Arbitration and the following through an example illustrate how WIPO resolve intellectual property disputes, particularly the settlement of a number of domain names mentioned. In the international community more and more people have resolved disputes with the help of WIPO that is to say, people's awareness of the law continues to increase, and the important role of WIPO is showed. Through the introduction of dissertation, people should have an increasing attention to WIPO, even though there is certain shortcoming; it still plays an irreplaceable role.
