Abstract
Intermodal transport combines advantages from several single transport modes. It brings together two or more modes of transport to move passengers or freight from their origin to their destination, using the efficiencies of each of the carriers to greater advantage (Fei, 2010). This paper analyzes the factors which may affect on development and efficiency of intermodal transport from three parts, the containerization, macro-factors, 代写essay micro-factors and the challenges the intermodal transport will face. While explaining the macro-factors and micro-factors, there are many different aspects included in those two main factors, such as, cost, service and technology etc. Also, the trends and challenges that the intermodal transport will be faced are mentioned, as well.
