Worldwide, urban river spaces have been heavily polluted and 德国留学生essay代写neglected due to the history of industrial development. The diploma thesis aims at analysing to what extent public private partnerships can be an appropriate financing option for the revitalisation of urban river spaces. Based on a literature research the general mechanism of public private partnerships (PPP) shall be explained in the diploma thesis and different types like e.g. build operate transfer (BOT) arrangements shall be explained. Then the advantages and disadvantages shall be compared and the general conditions under which public private partnerships can be a good choice for municipalities as a financing option for the revitalisation of urban river spaces shall be highlighted. After the theoretical part the diploma thesis shall concentrate on the Suzhou Creek Rehabilitation Project in Shanghai. The focus shall be on the presentation of the different financing sources of this project and especially on the involvement of private stakeholders within public private partnerships.
